Hi all
I've started to use Calibre for my eBooks, mainly ePubs. Ideally, my reading setup would consist of the following:
- Calibre with the library running on Mac mini, using the Calibre reader.
- Content server running and using its reader on another PC (Windows 11)
- Some e-ink device with which I can also use the web viewer of the content server
It's the last point I haven't figured out yet. The one feature that is critical for me is synchronization of highlights and notes across all devices.
From my research so far, I couldn't really find a perfect solution yet. It seems most apps for e-ink readers like KOReader do support sync
across KOReader instances, but not with Calibre itself. Or then they are not available on macOS and Windows.
So I figured my best bet would probably just be to use a web browser on an e-ink device. Does anyone have any recommendation of good devices for that?
eBooks would really be the only use for the device, so I don't need anything fancy like sophisticated note-taking with pens, audio etc. Just some device with e-ink and a useable browser. Ideally in the area of 8" size or larger.
Many thanks in advance for any tipps or hints!
