I remember when BM started - I think it was a mid-season replacement, just a throwaway project where they blatently threw in every stereotype - Black, Hispanic, Polish, Asian, Jew - just to see if anything would stick. But the cast and writing and unique Greenwich Village setting full of wacky characters turned out to be brilliant.
