I found the problem!
This wasn't working for me at all. I think it's because my Kindle and my husband's Kindle share the same account, but the books don't show up under the browser Kindle management screen. They only show up under my husband's (why??). So if I switch it to be his Kindle, then I can see the books and delete them.
This makes no sense as the books (his books that he borrows) also shows up on my Kindle, so you'd think if they were visible to me on my device, they would show up as being on my device when I go to the browser manager, but they just aren't there.
