Making text simply bigger works far better than "Open Dyslexic" font, which is an art project with almost no science to validate it.
Dyslexia is very different from sight impairments. For impaired vision basically black text, large enough, and white background (of suitable brightness), no glare or shine on screen is the most important for impaired sight. Serif (say Georgia) vs Sans depends on what the reader is most used to.
Some dyslexics might find coloured glasses help. The evidence isn't clear.
For dyslexics, having an ideal letter spacing, line spacing, familiar font and no distraction seems important.
