Checksum verification for libary files

Some programs have hashtable stored of its database and can do checks against it to see if any corruption has happened.

Does calibre has something similar such as a sort of checksum md5 verification on your .cbz files and metadata files?
Also when you're importing or moving books into calibre if there is a comparison check of the source and destination to check if the book moved without corruption at the destination.
