I'm getting annoyed about books in the middle of a series being pulled for unknown reasons. Books 1-6 are there, 9-15 are there, but 7 and 8 have been pulled. Happens at both Amazon ebooks and Audible audiobooks. Drives me nuts. Will they come back? This year? I can't buy ALL the books of a series at one time, but damn they should continue to be available so that I can eventually. Same publisher btw.
I feel both of your rants -- we've got winter coming back with a vengeance next week. And I hate when middle books in a series go out of print/availability. However, the one place worth looking is the library. If it's a series they have, their likely to still have it. You didn't say which author/series, but I know for some of mine, the library was the only source for a bit as the books transitioned from mainstream publisher to self/boutique publisher after the author reclaimed her rights.
