Apart from the fraying, how well does the Scribe cover work? Do you usually leave it attached when reading, or only when you need a stand?
I like it. I have replaced the fabric one with leather one, which feels nicer, and I am hopeful it will not fray as the edges feel more finished.

Sometimes I pop it out to read it, but most of the time I have it in the cover. It's a great cover if you keep changing your mind on whether to have it on or off. I would rather have the option of landscape as well as portrait, but I like it more than I thought I would.

As I do like reading in landscape, I had also tried a rotating cover allowing flipping between portrait and landscape, but the rotation was kind of clunky, and left the pen sticking out at an angle, so I returned it. I also tried an origami case for the same reason, but this seemed to compress the Scribe too much - at least, I’m guessing that’s what caused the pen to be out of alignment in certain areas of the screen when using this case.

So, based on the four cases I’ve tried, the leather Amazon one is the best for my needs. And when I want landscape, I’ll just use my book stand.
