But here a 4x4 on a forest path wouldn't fit and be illegal. Unless that's bad translation of horse, pony, donkey (not allowed on all paths) as they have 4 legs.
There is not much difference between A4 and Letter size. A 10″ is a sort of minimum and not really big enough for some PDFs even if 264 dpi or better unless you have very sharp eyesight. A 13″ to 14″ is more universal but no good for a two page spread, then you need a 23″ 4K monitor or similar.
