Might want to make a Sigil Checkpoint of your epub from time to time (to create a git backup you can recover with) or just start using Sigil's File Save As under a new file name with an incremented version as part of the name (or maybe a date) to be safer if the power goes up and down often.

We should probably make something similar for Linux and macOS.

FYI the next release will move Sigil's working space out of temp and into a folder in the user's Sigil Prefs folder by default to prevent loss from the OS when it cleans its own temp folder. So these directions will need to be updated then.
