Nope. I can't stand to have extensions hidden. But there aren't any on the kepubs downloaded directly to my Kobo from Kobo or in the folder where Kobo Desktop downloads its ebooks. Hence my confusion. Sirtel answered that it was probably epubs sent to your Kobo from calibre via the Extended Driver. I don't actually know what that means, but I take it they're not directly from Kobo. When I'm sideloading books to my Kobo, I just do regular epubs.
