At some stage you probably turned off the warning message for Remove Books, and then at a later time you hit the Del key.
Suggested solutions:
- a) change the keyboard shortcut e.g. from Del to Shift+Del;
- b) restore the warning message (Preferences->Behaviour) and leave it be;
- c) or be like me, a) and b)
