Hi good people

Recently, while searching for a Boox, I found an old new stock of Nova 2 on Taobao at a very attractive price. But being from Taobao, the firmware will be a Chinese Firmware.

I intend to use the Boox as my guitar chord/song book hence I need Google Play for those various chords app I use.

I've read several articles in this forum and found some opposing replies which got me confused.

Can I root the Chinese Version and Flash it with an international rom?
Would like to hear from people who has actually done that.
