I've just read back over my past decade of dieting. I did get down to 70kg at one point. But not for long. I seem to be repeating the same things year after year - a bit of restraint, following by snacking, and over-indulgence during the Christmas holidays.

I suppose it is good that I haven't put on loads of weight over the past decade, but to get back to 70kg permanently I'm going to have to make some permanent changes.

I think I'm going to have to adopt a no-snacking way of life. If I just accept that snacks are never going to be a daily part of my life again, perhaps I can take the weight off and keep it off. If I learn to sit happily reading or watching telly without a snack, eventually I shouldn't miss it.
