I've got an eee and find it very useful when travelling because it will fit in my handbag. It also makes a fairly good reader, especially for PDFs. I rotate the screen image and hold the eee like a book.

Dragoro: I find that some PDFs convert beautifully with Mobipocket Creator [Publisher Edition]. Others - notably the image files - are hopeless. You can try opening the PDF in Adobe Reader then going to save, and saving as text. You then have a (usually error-filled) text file which you can either proof-read and correct by hand, or use ABBY finereader, or another OCR program.
If you search the forum for threads about PDF then you will find that an awful lot of people are frustrated by the format.
