Hello,
I posted a new thread afew hours ago, whose title escapes me now, but it got sucked into the 'Moderators' Inbox' prior to, hopefully, getting posted onto the Conversion forum.

It concerned the failure of Calibre to create a TOC, when the chapters in the plaintext input file were prefixed with ##.

I thought that the problem was file size (the text file being 5 Mb) and 29 chapters.

As a test, I deleted all but the first chapter, yielding a 91 Kb file, but Calibre failed to produce a TOC for this too.

As a second test, I deleted all but the second chapter, yielding a 102 Kb file, but Calibre failed to produce a TOC for this too.

I am perplexed because I used exactly this method just a few days back with another book and got great results.
