Question Autosave metadata every 5 mins: safe?

I lost a lot of highlights the other day on an important project because of a freeze on my Forma.

I'm considering 'Auto-save book metadata' and setting it to 5 mins.
(Under SETTNGS > DOCUMENT)

I will almost certainly use it during this project, but Im wondering if it might be okay to use longer-term

_______

However I see there is a warning there that:
- it might slowly wear out the storage media
- after a hardware crash, greater potential for filesystem corruption and complete data loss.

I always have books stored on my PC so I'm not worried about permanently losing books,
but does anyone have any more info on the risks?

I know that sometimes warnings are just posted for an abundance of caution but actually are not a huge deal. (Like using 'old' fuel in your mower! )
