I've been closely following and checking this thread for updates on the ultra on a daily basis, but given the detour(?) into filesystem performance and the silence since, is it reasonable to assume that root is not very likely to be found anytime soon?
If so, it's a shame the graphics performance boost in the ultra over the NA2+ comes at such a high loss of accessability. :/
