Hello, I'm John M. Goodman, Ph.D.
Hi, I'm an 83-yr-old physicist who also considers himself an author, a designer, and at times a consultant, an inventor, and most recently a publisher.
Almost a decade ago I self-published a book ("Avoiding the Extinction of Humanity - A Practical Plan") through Ingram Spark, using an ISBN number and imprint I got from my book agent. [I had previously written 7 books on how personal computers work that he sold to major publishers, but when I told him what my latest book was going to be on he said he couldn't sell it since I wasn't known in that field. So he suggested I self-publish.]
That book came out in 2014 in both paperback and as an ebook. I created the ebook using Calibre, but I had more recently to relearn what I had learned then in order to publish my wife's first book. It is now out in paperback, but I'm still finishing the conversion to epub which is proving more challenging. I'll post details of where I need help in (I hope) the appropriate forum here--but I wanted here to let you know of that aspect of who I am.
I live in Garden Grove, in Orange County in California, USA.
