Aha! That's it then. That makes sense as I remember when I first got it I tried to go forward in pages with the joystick and it didn't work.

As far as the little page buttons on the upper left, I prefer those to the circle. They are in a good spot and feel good to me, I don't have the problems you describe, I think it they were more raised it would bother me. Everyone's hands are different though.
