The image writer software should overwrite any partitions existing on the uSD card so formatting the card should not have any effect.

Assuming you are running under Windows, the SHA-256 hash for the .zip file should be F28E165FC43A4055781DABAE9039E6780B4BB101D0725D3BF6 769DD3581656A3 just to make sure your copy is not damaged.

If all this matches up, it's possible that your Glo's issue is not due to the internal uSD card but rather due to a different failure.
