I was able to copy a book to my 2in1 laptop after some manipulations; the 1st time I received an error of "trying to copy to a 'read only'" folder. Changing the security on the laptop did not work; but found that if I do a switch the desktop library to the 2in1 laptop it worked. Just found that the desktop calibre now boots up slowly since the laptop has been shutdown & no longer on line.
After that I was going to do the same with Surface go 2, BUT I used the default name of 'calibre library'. Think calibre would know which 'calibre library' I would be using? Would renaming the Surface Go 2 library have any problem surface?

All my libraries have custom names, never have had a problem. But then they're all on the same drive, I don't copy over a network. So I have no idea about read-only errors. Calibre doesn't work well over networks, it's meant to work locally.
