I think the Bolitho books are ok if you’ve read Aubrey/Maturin and Hornblower and are desperate for turn of the 19th century Royal Navy shenanigans. Overall, I think they’re pretty skimpy, but I’ve been told they get better; I’m very slowly reading them.
