This is expected if your Windows update broke your gpu graphics driver. If you ever update that driver or a new Windows update fixes it, you can always try re-enabling gpu acceleration. And if still needed, disable it again.

This exact thing happened with a recent macOS update on my machine and it was eventually fixed by Apple after a few point updates about 2 months later.
