I won't go into how many books I bought last year versus how many of them I read (too depressing
), but will celebrate instead the joy of buying only one book on Jan 1, 2023, compared to the 7 books I bought on Jan 1, 2022. I take my victories where I find them
For the past 5 years (excluding 2022), I was buying on average 30 books a year, but last year I bought more than twice that! I blame this aberration on 'excessive' gift card money and feel confident it won't happen again this year
