Over all, it might be quicker (download then Add to Calibre), but not much.

Set up a dedicated folder to download to (if it does not exist) with no other contents. Download the books.
Now you can use almost any of the (bulk) Add methods that Calibre offers.
The Auto-Add folder method cleans the downloaded COPY, but the down side is you get 1 shot, if you are not happy (or the metadata is so foo that it stomps another book), you have to download that again. Do the work in an 'Intake Library' first.
