A matter of opinion whether Pocketbook is a "real" program or not. I find that Pocketbook is NOT a real program as it is more like an application system; Pocketbook wants to have books in its own 'database' even if there is already a folder containing books as in Calibre Companion. My directory containning Light Novels got added to Pocketbook's database which I do not like as it uses up space with the duplications. Not able to select a specific font but looks to need uncheck all fonts in the font list before checking on desired font; tedious.

A big problem is that ebook "reader apps" want to have their own database for books. Moon+Reader can also have its own database/folder BUT it is not forced upon the user. I can just select a book from the directory to read without having the whole book loaded onto the Moon+ folder for books.

A reader program should just read a book from the dictated folder & not 'install' it on a separate folder/database. However I do understand some want such actions to 'organize' their books when they have nothing else to organize the books; but it should not be forced on the user.
