I was just riffing from that and saying Lilith flew off (as in the story I posted), spontaneously generated all these daughters, and they married the sons of Adam and Eve. (And possibly their sons as well, since it seems A&E only had male grandchildren.)
Edit: In some midrashim Lilith "cavorts" with demons and bears offspring called the "Lilim" which go around stealing babies. But then again, there are some other apocryphal stories about some angels hanging around Earth sleeping with humans, so it sounds like it depends on whose side you want to take.
But I take the whole story as a metaphorical reference to humanity choosing to start to "grow up" rather than have a deity take care of us all the time, which is rank heresy, so maybe you should just ignore me.
