I suspect that most people complaining about SW/devices that don't honor CSS are those that change the CSS and want those changes honored.
Of course, devices that ignore CSS specifying anything about plain body text are good, and publishers should never ever specify anything about plain body text. (Poetry is not plain body text and I guess that devices with insufficient margin options are defective.)
If publishers would stop mucking with plain body text, devices would no logner have justification for overinding CSS.
