I'm not going to wade too far into the "bigger battery vs lighter weight" argument but, when I first read that the Sage would have 1200 mAh battery, I couldn't quite understand the logic. If I remember correctly, the the Sage supports a pen, and (I think) it has a faster CPU -- but even if it doesn't, it has more LEDs than the Libra 2 (which has a 1500 mAh battery). This decision didn't make a lot of sense to me. Even my PocketBook HD 3 has a 1500 mAh battery. How much more weight would it add to up the battery to 1500, 1800 or even 2000 mAh?

Maybe that's what this new Kobo is going to be, a Sage with a bigger battery.

EDIT: I looked up the weight difference between a 1200 and 2000 mAh LION battery. It's about 16 grams (24 - 40, or a bit over half an ounce). So a Sage with a 2000 mAh battery would weigh 256 grams instead of 240, or about 9 ounces instead of 8.5 ounces. From my perspective, that would be a pretty good trade-off.
So a better battery is not all that much more in weight and it's worth it.
