The Sage is expensive, but how much of that is pen-specific, who knows? It has bluetooth and a larger memory capacity, both of which can be useful for audiobooks. The main expense related to the pen features are all optional. Where I live, the Sage is 15-20% dearer than the Oasis, a price difference that could well be largely due to the larger, newer screen. And as my previous post showed, reports of button problems have been overstated. They exist, obviously, but I would not have, and likely could not have, made something in the order of 200,000 clicks on those very same buttons if they were THAT flaky.
Your choice to believe the very worst of the device is exactly that - your choice. That you apparently choose to let the words of someone who rants about the Sage from a position of absolute ignorance (as is his wont generally) influence your perception is also your choice.
