That could be a red herring. Did you "chmod 755 /data/local/tmp/alpha.sh"?
Does /system/bin/sh exist? (Maybe this is a 64-bit only build???)
Does /data/local/tmp/alpha.sh exist? (Maybe you didn't copy it?)
