Of course the gadget sites/blogs can't resist unrealistically editing and don't use a reference card for brightness and contrast so they can make the eink look far whiter and better contrast than reality or make it look far greyer (either by accident or deliberately). They also either write copy that seems either given by maker or maker's most evil competitor. As useless now as HiFi magazines became by the late 1980s.

Daylight photos at the same time are fine for comparison. I wasn't meaning to take daylight photos at different times to compare. Also, indoor photos should also be taken at the same time so light from the windows won't be an issue.
