Here's mine. In the pictures they look pretty similar. But in reality the difference is like what Josie saw. I'll blame my photography skills.
Both readers have the same firmware, backlight set to 50% and Natural Light maxed. I took one photo with lights on in the room and one with lights off. But looks like a wasted effort. HD on the left, 2E on the right.
