Thank you WillAdams. I was afraid that was the case, but hoped I could just connect the Scribe to my computer and export my own notes that way. Sending anything through Amazon creeps me out, even if it's as innocuous as a grocery list.

I guess I will have to stick with Android devices, unless Kobo has a good option.
