Thank you for the idea.

I opened the back of the K3 (as luck would have it I had cut my thumb-nails last Sunday), thinking I would wash the rubber keyboard; but before going further I tried to start it to see.

Surprise, the problem has disappeared !

So I looked at all the 6 silver screws and the 11 black ones, and found one silver and three black not tight; so tightened them up, fitted the back back, and it now works without problem.

Only remains to serially update the software to 3.4.3, and reinstall the screen-saver hack.
