on PC i can "sign in with google and get into account that I have lost password for, and it is syncing OK - I can see books which are on the Kobo, and the kobo receives a free book that i " bought" while signed in with google on PC
i also downloaded the kobo pc desktop software and once again , sign in work google works
so maybe, if I had a new device, I could connect that to desktop and set it up with that same account, without knowing or being able to change the password.
[ my main concern was that I would need the password to type into any new or reset device ]
but I have tried every way possible to do a password reset, and evert test leads to " something went wrong" when I submit a different password
i guess I just have to live with it, of find out it calling Kobo from Uk works
