This finally came up for me on OverDrive. While I like the book, I disagree on the narrator who I find to be expressionless much of the time and off in the rest. Shortly after I started I was considering switching to text; her pronunciation of Telemachus might be the proverbial straw. Highly irritating. But I’ll stick with it for a bit more, as it serves a purpose (listening in bed).

Retelling of Greek myths appeals to me a lot in the abstract, but there are a lot of IMO duds out there. Although there are some I greatly enjoyed, I’ve DNFed several highly praised ones. I’ve been thinking of starting a thread in the Reading Recommendations forum; I’ll get around to it today.
