Mine was on the last FW version and the instructions & files worked. Simplest test is maybe if the sleep screen shows last ebook.
I think needed rebooted, book opened, closed, sleep for that to work.
I tried the USB Networking and couldn't get it to work. The Change system fonts worked, but I reverted it. It's not worth wasting a lot of time on.
