Something doesn't add up, here. I've attached a 1-page test kepub and 3 screenshots from my Libra2 using 3 different fonts. As you can see, all fonts display at least some ligatures. Looking at the Amasis image I see ligatures for 'fi' and 'fl' but ligatures for 'ff', 'ffi', 'ffl' are not obvious in the Kobo built-in version of Amasis.
Rather than more aimless discussion please copy the attached kepub to your Kobo and compare what you see with Amasis (1st image) on your own device. Just copy the kepub using simple drag-drop with a USB connection. Don't use calibre or Dropbox or anything fancy as we don't want to introduce any unnecessary complications into what's happening.
