We get an average annual rainfall of 1700mm (67") and the month before we moved here 18 months ago they got over 600mm (24") in one 24 hour period. We're right on the coast though, so apart from relatively minor flooding, when it stops, it's pretty much gone.

We're heading into the dryer months over winter though, so this heavy rain might be the last we see until storm season starts.
