If you are really into the classics try going to the Mobilereference site. They have deals to buy the collections in packets. The most expensive is $50 for 52 authors and all their works where amazon sells them one at a time at $5 each. Note Mobilereference sells the works at $6 each. Mobilereference also has a $30 packet. They also have no DRM if you get it from the site. You can also get all these works for free but it's set up as single books and not a collection of Works in a single file which is what I love about the way they do it. They take up less space on your ebook. I hate going through too many pages. Of course you can search on a title but again I still like having all HG Wells in one place.

Also mobireader has a site that sells this collection for $20 but I don't know if they have DRM or not. The thing to remember is that Mobilereference out-sources their collections to several ebook retellers.
