I doubt it. I'm guessing the Kindle would be sold as a referb. And as far as packaging, there is a thing called recycling.

Does such a mythical person exist? I woud think most people would also want to read. And
because you don't see all hardware as fungible and prefer Amazon hardware. Or maybe you can get a better deal on Amazon hardware then other hardware.
