I was using an older version of calibre for a long time, but updated about a year ago. (And am currently on the latest version.) After the update, the e-book viewer changed to be completely option-less. Previously there were various buttons and arrows and a search bar. Now it does nothing but display the text.

Anything I can do about this? The main reason I even want a viewer is to be able to search the text.

I don't want to go back to an older version, because it had gotten very, very slow.
