Unless you changed the folder outside of Calibre, updating the Author metadata will also also change the file location.

Hemingway, Ernest ==> Ernest Hemingway
C:\Calibre Library\Hemingway, Ernest\
to
C:\Calibre Library\Ernest Hemingway\
