I hate dubbing. But in the Netherlands we're used to subtitles. When I was young it was also normal for kids' shows to have subtitles (Flinstones, Yogi Bear, Are You Afraid of the Dark, etc), though that has changed now and most kids' shows are dubbed.

What I hate even more is when they dubbed it in the accent of the original speaker. BBC did this, even in news programs. So the French president, for instance, would be dubbed in English with a French accent. I always found that so distracting, but luckily they've changed that, at least at the BBC.
