KOReader on android and external keyboards

Hi! First of all, I would like to thank KOReader people, it is by far the best pdf reader, seriously!

Now, sorry if its obvious or already been asked, but I cant find any satisfactory answer.

Can I use an external keyboard to take notes on android KOReader? I tried connect a bluetooth keyboard and USB keyboard, but cant type anything neither it catches any keypresses, but some letters apears on file select menu ( Q, W, E, R, etc.) on the files, like it would open then if I press the respective key, but nothing happens. It see that a keyboard is connect, but doesnt seen to work, am I doing something wrong?

Also, this github page says it works:
https://github.com/koreader/koreader/issues/4671

Hope someone can help me, thanks in advance!
