I don't know why anyone uses IE just for browsing anymore. IE is needed in very few circumstances because it is used as the standard for so many things that sometimes you get a page or application that simply doesn't work well in other browsers. This is rare, though. I use Firefox and Chrome frequently. Sometimes I pull out Opera. IE is my last resort after those three.
