Thank you, for me it started happened on the third year as well. I don't think it is caused by sweat, i always hold it on the left side and both are sticky (and only on the front). Probably the rubberized plastic degrades with time, I've seen it on other products using similar "soft-touch" plastic.
Already tried window cleaning solution (with alcohol) - it gets worse.
Using acetone to dissolve it is a great idea, but the color is brown and probably the base is black. I guess i'm stuck with that stickiness.
My next ereader will be hard plastic or metal.
