I have a kindle copy of 'The Crusades through Arab eyes' and am having a bit of a problem. Doesn't matter which format I send it to the kindle in, AZW3/KFX some of the text is just not rendering properly, specifically some of the (I think) Arabic text.

I can see in Calibre that it has embedded fonts, so the actual squiggly Arabic renders perfectly, but some of the other letters which are Latin letters with lines above or below them aren't.

On the kindle it will show up like this: "venerable [...] ÑaÝad al-Íarawi".

I am not doing anything with the embedded fonts, not removing them or messing with the file, any way i can get this to work because the book is unreadable in this state. All fonts work in Calibre fine with the file, the same font with the same file on the kindle either in azw3 or kfx isn't rendering the latin+squiggle characters.
