Yes, and people use KOReader for the extensive CSS overrides. I prefer to use the Calibre Editor to fix broken or stupidly formatted ebooks. Then for PD anyone can benefit and I fix bought books for the wife.
Margins, line height, font size are the important things. Too many options on KOReader make it very hard to find some of the menu options you might need for searching or navigation or GUI sizes.
